Authorizes local boards of education from Davidson County Schools, Thomasville City Schools, and Lexington City Schools, along with Davidson County Community College, to jointly establish the Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy as a cooperative innovative high school program.

Requires the application for the cooperative program to be submitted to the State Board of Education and State Board of Community Colleges by June 15, 2012, for consideration in the 2012-2013 school year.

Appropriates $307,650 from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction for the 2012-2013 fiscal year, to be allocated to Davidson County Schools for the academy.

Becomes effective upon passage into law.
