Allows breweries holding brewery permits to sell malt beverages brewed at the brewery on the brewery premises upon receiving an on-premises malt beverage permit under G.S. 18B-1001(1).

Applies to breweries producing fewer than 25,000 barrels of malt beverages per year, as defined in G.S. 81A-9.

Permits qualifying breweries to sell malt beverages at up to three additional retail locations in the State where such sales are legally authorized, subject to obtaining appropriate permits.

Requires breweries operating additional retail locations to offer a reasonable selection of competitive malt beverage products for sale at those locations.

Became effective upon ratification on June 1, 2011.
