State of North Carolina conveys the Blue Ridge Correctional Facility to the Board of Trustees of Mayland Community College for $1.00.

Property transfer includes 13.21 deeded acres located in Avery County on Prison Camp Road, consisting of six buildings (dormitories, kitchen/administration, visitors building, transformer building, well house) with associated assets.

Conveyance is "as is, where is" with no state warranties regarding title, boundaries, uses, zoning, environmental conditions, or physical safety.

Mayland Community College bears all costs associated with the property conveyance, renovation, maintenance, and insurance.

Facility will expand existing community college programs and support future growth to address the college's shortage of approximately 100,000 square feet of classroom and laboratory space.
