Honors Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, who established the organization on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia with 18 girls.

Recognizes Girl Scout Week observed March 6-12, 2011, and celebrates the organization's presence in North Carolina for more than 93 years with over 90,000 current members statewide.

Acknowledges the Girl Scouts' four fundamental goals: developing girls' full potential, building understanding and respect in relationships, establishing meaningful values, and contributing to societal improvement.

Notes the Girl Scouts became the first national organization for girls to receive a federal congressional charter on March 16, 1950.

Recognizes Girl Scouting's efforts to increase girls' awareness and opportunities in mathematics, science, sports, technology, and other fields while developing leadership skills for community contribution.
