Appropriates $400,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012 and $400,000 for fiscal year 2012-2013 to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health for heart disease and stroke prevention community education campaigns in partnership with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.

Appropriates $50,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012 and $50,000 for fiscal year 2012-2013 for continued operations of the Stroke Advisory Council.

Supports recommendations from the Stroke Advisory Council as approved by the Justus-Warren Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Task Force in January 2011.

Directs the Task Force to work with health care providers to establish regionally distributed stroke care networks across the state.

Becomes effective July 1, 2011.
