Revises Chapter 127A of North Carolina General Statutes to update references to federal and state military organizations to be proper and uniform, as directed by prior legislation.

Makes technical amendments throughout the militia law including standardizing terminology for military branches (e.g., "United States Army" instead of "army"), capitalizing military service names, and clarifying references to the "Armed Forces of the United States."

Authorizes the Revisor of Statutes to substitute consistent terminology throughout the General Statutes regarding military organizations and branches when referring to federal military services.

Updates various provisions related to the North Carolina National Guard, State Defense Militia, and Naval Militia including clarifying language on composition, organization, discipline, and administration.

Effective when enacted into law.
