Honors the memory of Charles Douglas "Charlie" Brown, Jr., a Martin County Sheriff's Office deputy killed in the line of duty on December 8, 2009, during a confrontation with a suspect in Williamston.

Recognizes Brown's service as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm and nearly 15 years in law enforcement.

Acknowledges Brown's work with the North Carolina Department of Correction, Prisoner Emergency Response Teams (PERT), and his service in the Narcotics Unit and K-9 Unit.

Expresses the Senate's appreciation for Brown's service to law enforcement and extends condolences to his survivors, including his wife Cindy, daughters Morgen and Carlie, parents Cindy Lucille Brown and Charles Brown, Sr., and brother Chris Brown.

Directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Brown's family.
