Allows parking meters in Atlantic Beach and Beaufort to be activated by commercially available prepayment credit methods in addition to coins and tokens.

Expands permitted uses of on-street parking meter proceeds to include purposes allowed for off-street parking facilities, in addition to enforcing and administering traffic and parking ordinances.

Changes parking meter revenue usage from mandatory ("must") to permissive ("may") basis, allowing greater flexibility in how proceeds are allocated.

Applies exclusively to the Towns of Atlantic Beach and Beaufort.

Effective upon becoming law; ratified May 18, 2011.
