S303 - Real ID Compliance/Limited Duration Licenses

• Requires drivers licenses of limited duration issued to individuals legally present in the United States for a limited time to bear a distinguishing mark or other designation on the face of the license clearly denoting the limited duration.

• Applies to applicants who present valid documentation from the U.S. government demonstrating legal presence of limited duration and meet all other requirements for a limited duration license.

• Exempts limited duration license holders from the standard social security number requirement under certain conditions.

• Becomes effective August 1, 2011, and applies to drivers licenses issued on or after that date.
