Honors the 100th anniversary of North Carolina Family and Consumer Sciences, founded in 1911 by Dr. Jane S. McKimmon as the first State home demonstration agent.

Recognizes the organization's evolution from Home Demonstration (1911) to Home Economics (1967) to Family and Consumer Sciences (1995).

Acknowledges the program's expansion to all 100 North Carolina counties and the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation, supported by professional extension staff from North Carolina State University and North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University.

Celebrates the contributions of past and present agents and specialists to improving quality of life for families throughout the state during the last century, including support during the Great Depression and two World Wars.

Directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Chancellor W. Randolph Woodson and leadership of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service.
