Extends the deadline for the Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board to report findings and recommendations from the hearing loss task force to November 15, 2011 (in addition to the original November 15, 2010 deadline).

Task force is required to develop recommended guidelines for consumers seeking information about hearing loss treatment and hearing aid purchases.

Task force membership includes a licensed hearing aid fitter/seller, hearing aid consumer, practicing audiologist, physician treating hearing loss patients, representative from Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, representative from Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's office, and other interested stakeholders.

Report must include recommendations on methods to disseminate hearing aid purchasing guidelines to the North Carolina Study Commission on Aging and the Joint Legislative Health Care Oversight Committee.

Effective upon becoming law.
