State Board of Education shall continue participating in development of Common Core State Standards and implement assessments deemed appropriate to assess student achievement on those standards

State Board shall plan for and require administration of the ACT test for all eleventh-grade students unless the student has already taken a comparable test and scored at or above a level set by the State Board

State Board shall plan for and require administration of diagnostic tests in eighth and tenth grades that align to the ACT test to help identify whether students are on track to be remediation-free at community colleges or universities

State Board shall plan for and require local school administrative units to make available WorkKeys tests for all students who complete the second level of vocational/career courses

Effective date is July 1, 2011, beginning with the 2011-2012 school year
