Prohibits health care contracts from preventing providers from contracting with other insurers at equal or lower rates than existing agreements.

Prevents insurers from requiring providers to accept lower payments if they agree to serve other insurers at equal or lower rates.

Bans contract provisions requiring termination or renegotiation of existing health care agreements when providers contract with other insurers at equal or lower rates.

Prohibits insurers from requiring providers to disclose contractual rates with competing insurers or automatically adjusting rates to match the lowest rate offered to any other carrier.

Effective October 1, 2011.
