Program Evaluation Division shall study and assess state agency leasing of property, including costs, amounts, and nature of space currently leased.

Study shall examine procedures for leasing and allocating real property among state agencies and review applicable state laws.

Study shall evaluate whether current leasing practices are cost-effective and identify potential cost savings through more efficient use of state-owned facilities.

Program Evaluation Division shall submit findings and recommendations to the Joint Legislative Program Evaluation Oversight Committee and Fiscal Research Division.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2012.
