Session Law 2011-176 (Senate Bill 686) Summary

• Appoints numerous individuals to various state boards, commissions, and authorities based on recommendations from the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

• President Pro Tempore appointments include 63 positions across agencies such as the Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission, Housing Finance Agency Board, Wildlife Resources Commission, and various professional licensing boards.

• Speaker of the House appointments include 61 positions to similar state boards and commissions, including the Banking Commission, Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council, and State Ports Authority.

• Appoints four members to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Partnership for Children, Inc., based on recommendations from the Minority and Majority Leaders of both the Senate and House of Representatives.
