Amends G.S. 50B-3(a) to allow courts to order defendants found to have committed domestic violence to wear GPS tracking devices or similar electronic monitoring equipment that signals their location to the aggrieved party and local law enforcement when near prohibited locations.

Amends G.S. 50C-5(b) to authorize courts to order respondents subject to unlawful conduct civil no-contact orders to wear GPS tracking devices or similar electronic monitoring equipment that signals their location to the victim and local law enforcement when near prohibited locations.

Requires the defendant or respondent to pay the costs associated with GPS monitoring or similar electronic monitoring devices.

Takes effect upon enactment into law.
