Eliminates weight restrictions on farm trucks or vehicles traveling on light-traffic roads when transporting supplies, material, or equipment necessary for any farming operation with destination solely on that light-traffic road.

Expands exemption from "a farming operation engaged in the production of meats and agricultural crops and livestock or poultry by-products or a business engaged in the harvest or processing of seafood" to any farming operation.

Repeals G.S. 20-118(c)(5), which previously contained additional weight limitation provisions for farm vehicles.

Becomes effective upon enactment with no retroactive application to prosecutions for violations occurring before the effective date.
