Allows bail agents acting on behalf of insurance companies to file written motions to set aside bail forfeiture, alongside defendants, sureties, professional bondsmen, and runners.

Expands eligibility to file motions regarding bail forfeiture under G.S. 15A-544.5(d)(1) to include bail agents representing insurance companies within 150 days of forfeiture notice.

Allows bail agents acting on behalf of insurance companies to file written motions for relief from final judgments of bail forfeiture under G.S. 15A-544.8(c)(1) within three years of judgment becoming final.

Written motions must state the reason for relief and attach or set forth evidence supporting the request for either setting aside forfeiture or obtaining relief from final judgment.

Becomes effective December 1, 2011.
