Allows Greene County Schools to meet the 180-day instructional requirement by scheduling 1,000 hours of instruction in fewer than 180 days due to inclement weather or school closures.

Requires local boards to designate when the 180 instructional days or 1,000 hours shall occur, with flexibility to vary instructional hours by school and day.

Teachers employed for 10-month terms are deemed to have worked 180 instructional days and shall be compensated accordingly, even if 1,000 hours are completed in fewer days.

All other employees shall be compensated as if they worked their regularly scheduled hours for 180 instructional days under this alternative schedule.

Applies only to Greene County Schools for the 2010-2011 school year to address instructional time lost when Greene County Middle School was destroyed by a tornado.
