Appropriates $5,000,000 from the General Fund to Anson County for fiscal year 2012-2013 to help fund construction of an Agri-Civic Center.

Planned facility in Wadesboro will include a 1,000-capacity auditorium and 22,000 square feet of office space to house county agriculture agencies.

Total project cost is approximately $10 million, with Anson County pledging $2.5 million and local foundations, grants, and individuals pledging $2.5 million.

Facility is intended to host district and regional conferences and serve as a catalyst for economic development in Anson County, which ranks 22nd statewide in agriculturally based income.

Becomes effective July 1, 2012.
