Makes it unlawful to take menhaden or Atlantic thread herring using a purse seine net deployed by a mother ship and one or more runner boats in coastal fishing waters.

Establishes violation of this prohibition as a Class A1 misdemeanor offense.

Repeals S.L. 2007-320, prior legislation on this subject.

Takes effect December 1, 2012, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
