Removes two noncontiguous tracts of property from the corporate limits of the City of Morganton: Tract 1 consisting of lots 1, 2, and 3 (2.57 acres total) and Tract 2 consisting of Parcel "A" (23.87 acres)

Property locations identified by Burke County Tax Record Numbers and plat book references, both situated in Morganton Township, Burke County

Preserves the City of Morganton's existing tax liens and special assessments on the removed property, allowing collection or foreclosure after the effective date as if the property remained within city limits

Maintains city jurisdiction over the removed property for purposes of Article 19, Chapter 160A of the General Statutes until formally removed under G.S. 160A-360

Becomes effective June 30, 2012
