Allows persons with valid concealed handgun permits to carry handguns on educational property that also houses a place of worship during regularly scheduled religious services.

Permit holders may only carry handguns in the worship building during times when religious services are meeting, provided those times do not overlap with school operating hours.

Applies to concealed handgun permits issued under Article 54B of Chapter 14 of the General Statutes or permits considered valid under G.S. 14-415.24.

Amends G.S. 14-269.2 to create this exception to the general prohibition on carrying handguns on educational property.

Becomes effective December 1, 2012.
