Directs the Administrative Office of the Courts to study the current law governing appointment and supervision of magistrates

Study shall evaluate whether magistrate supervision should be transferred from the chief district court judge to another person or entity

Study shall address other potential changes to the magistrate appointment and supervision process

Requires submission of study results to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by March 1, 2015

Effective July 1, 2014
