Permits the North Carolina Industrial Commission to release certain workers' compensation insurance policy information as public records, including employer name and address, carrier name/address/telephone number, policy number, effective dates, cancellation dates, and reinstatement dates.

Requires the NC Industrial Commission to receive workers' compensation coverage status information from the Bureau of Insurance for policies effective on or after January 1, 2012.

Maintains confidentiality of other records provided by the Bureau to the Industrial Commission while allowing specified policy data to be disclosed as public records.

Limits the Industrial Commission's use of information received from the Bureau to carrying out its statutory duties under the North Carolina Workers' Compensation Act.

Provides immunity from civil liability to the Bureau for releasing information in good faith and without malicious or willful intent to harm.
