Appropriates $2,400,000 from the General Fund to The University of North Carolina for fiscal year 2014-2015 to advance plan a new campus of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.

New campus must be capable of serving 300 students and located on State-owned real property in Burke County.

Department of Administration, in conjunction with Departments of Public Safety, Health and Human Services, and Public Instruction, shall identify the most suitable State-owned property in Burke County for the campus.

Department of Administration must report the identified site to the Senate Appropriations Committee on Education/Higher Education, House Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, and Fiscal Research Division by January 1, 2015.

Act becomes effective July 1, 2014.
