Modifies G.S. 54-109.58(d) for credit unions to require that pledges of joint accounts by any one or more joint tenants be binding upon all joint tenants unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing between the credit union and all joint tenants.

Modifies G.S. 54B-129(a) for savings and loan associations to apply the same joint account pledge requirements, making pledges binding upon all joint tenants and allowing them to survive the death of any joint tenant.

Modifies G.S. 54C-165(a) for savings banks to conform their joint account pledge laws to the same standards as credit unions and savings and loan associations.

Makes the changes effective immediately upon enactment and applies to joint accounts created before, on, or after the effective date.
