Legislative Research Commission to study exempting sales of gold and silver coins produced by the United States Mint from sales tax.

Commission shall report findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislative changes, to the 2015 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

Resolution notes North Carolina's historical significance in gold production, including operation of the only private gold mint in the southeastern United States in Rutherfordton from the 1790s to 1840s.
