Honors Ralph Donald Edwards, former Director of Prisons for the North Carolina Department of Correction, who died June 19, 2014, at age 88.

Recognizes Edwards' 32-year career as a state employee serving under nine governors, including roles as Director of Prisons (1973-1982), Deputy Secretary, and Secretary of the Department of Correction.

Acknowledges Edwards' post-retirement work as a cattle producer and pioneer of Tifton 44 Bermudagrass cultivation in North Carolina, and his 10-year service on the National Board for the North American South Devon Association.

Expresses appreciation for Edwards' service to North Carolina and extends sympathy to his surviving family members, including his wife Jenny McGhee Edwards, two children, and five grandchildren.

Directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Edwards family.
