House Resolution honors the founders of the Town of Proctorville in Robeson County on the town's 100th anniversary, incorporated on March 7, 1913.

Town was named for Edward Knox Proctor, Jr., a prominent Lumberton lawyer and railroad promoter, and developed from a 50-acre tract originally owned by Calvin Graham and given to his slave Dennis Graham.

First officers included Mayor K. Atkinson; aldermen C. W. Graham, K. Barnes, and J. K. Atkinson; and Constable P. P. Smith.

Town was historically notable for holding the distinction of being the smallest town in the United States with its own public library, the W.R. Surles Memorial Library.

Principal clerk shall transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Mayor of Proctorville; resolution is effective upon adoption on March 6, 2013.
