Supplemental Retirement Board of Trustees now administers the North Carolina Public School Teachers' and Professional Educators' Investment Plan in addition to the Supplemental Retirement Income Plan and Public Employee Deferred Compensation Plan.

Board of Trustees of the Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System replaces the Department of State Treasurer as administrator of that retirement system.

Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System reduced from 14 to 13 members, with appointive positions decreased from 10 to 9, including new appointment of an active or retired North Carolina National Guard member.

Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System board composition changed to include 5 members from Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System board and 8 members designated by Governor, including a new position for an active or retired Firemen's and Rescue Squad Workers' Pension Fund member.

Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System assumes full administration of the Legislative Retirement System from the Legislative Services Commission, with added immunity protections for Supplemental Retirement Board trustees.
