Requires school improvement plans to include a strategy to identify and eliminate unnecessary and redundant reporting requirements for teachers, with a preference for electronic forms and incorporation into the Instructional Improvement System.

Prohibits local boards, superintendents, and principals from requiring teachers to provide information already available in the student information management system or submit duplicate written information within a school year unless circumstances change.

Allows school improvement teams to request superintendent review of redundant reporting requirements and petition the local board for a hearing if the superintendent does not recommend elimination.

Permits redundant reporting only when the superintendent determines there is a compelling need and no more expeditious manner of providing the information to the local board.

Effective for the 2013-2014 school year.
