Establishes a rebuttable presumption that shared parenting is in the best interest of the child in custody cases.

Defines "shared parenting" as each parent sharing as close as possible to an equal amount of time with the child.

Allows the presumption to be rebutted by a greater weight of evidence presented in court.

Requires courts to continue considering all relevant factors including domestic violence, child safety, and other best interest factors when making custody determinations.

Effective upon enactment and applies to all pending or newly filed cases from that date forward.
