Certified well contractors must complete two hours of approved continuing education each year for their first three years of certification.

Well contractors are not required to obtain continuing education credits for annual renewal of certification after their third year, except when disciplinary action is taken.

Contractors subject to disciplinary action must complete remedial educational courses as required by the Commission.

The Commission retains authority to specify the scope of continuing education courses and approve course providers.

The act became effective upon passage on May 29, 2014.
