Honors Lewis and Mattie Thornburg for founding THORLO in 1953 in Statesville, North Carolina, initially as a subcontract knitter for military socks.

Recognizes THORLO's 60th anniversary and its evolution from contract knitting to a fully integrated manufacturing operation producing the innovative Thorlos® athletic sock introduced in 1980.

Notes that THORLO remains one of the last 100% "Made in USA" textile brands, operating over 54 patented sock products available in the United States and 33 countries worldwide.

Acknowledges THORLO's contribution of approximately $10 million annually in salaries and benefits to the greater Statesville community with nearly 300 employees.

Directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to James "Jim" Throneburg, current owner and CEO of THORLO, Inc.
