H810 - Modify Certain Cemetery Requirements

• Increases the county population threshold for reduced minimum acreage requirements from 35,000 to 100,000 according to the latest federal decennial census for cemetery licensing and operation.

• Reduces minimum acreage requirement from 30 acres to 15 acres for cemetery licenses in counties with a population of less than 100,000.

• Adds a new requirement that licensees in counties with populations under 100,000 who sell cemetery lands must transfer three percent (3%) of the gross sales price (for up to 15 acres sold) to the perpetual care fund within 60 days if the licensee retains less than 30 acres after the sale.

• Makes technical corrections to statutory language including replacing "said" with "that" and adding clarifying references to section numbers.
