Designates June 1-2, 2013 as pPROM (Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes) Awareness Day in North Carolina.

Extends House sympathy to parents who have lost newborns as a result of pPROM, a condition affecting fewer than 3% of pregnant women where the membrane sac breaks before labor onset and prior to 37 weeks of gestation.

Acknowledges that pPROM often occurs with no known risk factors or apparent cause, frequently resulting in newborn death and forcing parents to make difficult medical decisions.

Supports increased research, prevention, diagnosis, and awareness efforts to decrease occurrences of pPROM and save lives.
