Recognizes that 28 tornadoes struck North Carolina on April 16, 2011, the most recorded in state history, causing extensive damage across multiple counties including Bertie, Wake, Pitt, and Wilson.

Acknowledges Bertie County as one of the hardest hit areas, with 67 homes destroyed, 20 others majorly damaged, at least 87 families displaced, and over $2.5 million in storm-related damage.

Designates April 16, 2013, as Bertie County Day to commemorate the anniversary and recognize the county residents' resilience and recovery efforts following the disaster.
