Amends North Carolina law to require that all nurses providing anesthesia services, including nurse anesthetists and advanced practice registered nurses, do so under physician or dentist supervision.

Specifies that anesthesia services provided by nurses under supervision of a physician licensed under Article 1 or a qualified dentist do not constitute unauthorized practice of medicine.

Updates the definition of nursing practice to explicitly require that nurse anesthetists and advanced practice registered nurses provide anesthesia services only under supervision of a licensed physician or qualified dentist.

Becomes effective upon passage into law.
