Requires each local board of education to adopt a policy giving classroom experience to professional employees who lack daily student contact to enhance awareness of classroom climate.

Policy must require affected employees to deliver instruction or have other student contact during the instructional day through substitute teaching, model lessons, classroom assistance, tutoring, or other classroom services.

Policy may provide up to one renewal credit every five years per employee for participating in these classroom activities.

Effective beginning with the 2013-2014 school year.
