Establishes definition of "immunizing pharmacist" requiring current CPR certification, CDC/ACPE-accredited vaccine administration training, 3 hours of continuing education every 2 years, North Carolina Immunization Registry training, and notification to both the Board of Pharmacy and Medical Board.

Authorizes immunizing pharmacists to administer specific vaccines to patients 18 years and older, including pneumococcal, herpes zoster, hepatitis B, meningococcal, tetanus-diphtheria, and influenza (age 14+) vaccines, either by prescription order or standing order/protocol overseen by a licensed North Carolina physician.

Requires immunizing pharmacists to maintain patient vaccine records, notify patients' primary care providers within 72 hours of administration, and report all vaccines (except influenza) to the North Carolina Immunization Registry within 72 hours.

Expands G.S. 130A-153 to allow persons 18 years and older to obtain required immunizations from immunizing pharmacists and permits pharmacists to access and share immunization information with health departments and physicians.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
