Adds "bodily" to describe personal injury compensation exempt from creditor claims in G.S. 1C-1601(a)(8), clarifying the scope of injury-related exemptions.

Extends the 90-day lookback period for recent property purchases to include "intangible" personal property in addition to tangible property when determining exemption applicability.

Modifies G.S. 58-24-85 to allow fraternal benefit society payments made payable to a member's estate to be attached for payment of the member's debts, while protecting benefits paid to living beneficiaries from attachment.

Effective October 1, 2013, with Section 1 applying to claims arising on or after that date and Section 2 applying to benefits paid or payable on or after that date.
