Prohibits health insurers from charging higher co-payments for chiropractic services than for comparable medically necessary treatment provided by a primary care physician.

Applies to all health benefit plans, subscriber contracts, and insurance policies issued by health maintenance organizations, hospital or medical service corporations, and insurers under Articles 1-67 of Chapter 58.

Requires that chiropractic services be covered under the same limitations and coverage levels as services provided by other duly licensed physicians, unless a comparable limitation applies to both.

Becomes effective January 1, 2014, and applies to insurance policies issued, renewed, or amended on or after that date.
