Department of Public Instruction must examine enrollment data in Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses to determine gender distribution across program areas.

Department shall identify program areas where enrollment is predominantly representative of one gender.

Department must adjust CTE course offerings if necessary to ensure a broad variety of courses within each program area that encourage participation from both male and female high school students.

Department must report on gender enrollment distribution in CTE courses and any actions taken to broaden course variety to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by March 15, 2014.

Act becomes effective upon passage into law.
