Prohibits disclosure of certain personal information about current or former law enforcement officers without written consent, including home address, personal telephone numbers, personal email addresses, and family member information.

Allows public disclosure of specified law enforcement officer information including name, age, employment date, current position, title, current salary, salary changes, promotions, demotions, transfers, suspensions, and disciplinary actions.

Requires that dismissals for disciplinary reasons include a written notice setting forth the specific acts or omissions that were the basis for the dismissal.

Establishes that these privacy protections override other general laws or local acts concerning access to public records or personnel files.
