Allows state or local law enforcement agencies to authorize persons holding appointive offices to concurrently hold up to two additional appointive offices with another agency, superseding the existing limit of one concurrent office.

Amends G.S. 128-1.1 by adding subsection (a1) to permit this expanded dual-office holding authority specifically for law enforcement personnel.

Updates G.S. 160A-284 to clarify that police chiefs, policemen, and auxiliary policemen may hold concurrent offices consistent with G.S. 128-1.1 and the North Carolina Constitution Article VI, Section 9.
