Department of Public Safety shall study North Carolina's participation in the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance North American Standard Inspection Program for roadside commercial vehicle safety inspections.

Study must include history of when North Carolina began participating in the program, current implementation methods, annual safety inspection decal issuance data, and geographic analysis of where decals are issued within the State.

Department shall report study results to the Agriculture and Forestry Awareness Study Commission by November 1, 2014.

Act becomes effective upon passage.
