Requires courts to consider whether a juvenile petition has been properly verified and invokes jurisdiction at the pre-adjudication hearing.

Adds verification and jurisdiction review as item (5a) to the list of matters the court must address prior to adjudicatory hearings in juvenile cases.

Becomes effective October 1, 2014.
