Authorizes the Division of Motor Vehicles to continue hearings for good cause in cases involving inspection station violations.

Modifies G.S. 20-183.8G to allow continuances in two hearing contexts: (1) hearings on license suspension or revocation charges must be held within 30 days unless continued for good cause, and (2) all other hearings must be held within 90 days unless continued for good cause.

Implements recommendations from the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee regarding DMV inspection station violation case procedures.

Becomes effective October 1, 2014.
