Modifies the staggered election schedule for Town Council members of Bakersville by changing the election cycle from 2005, 2007, 2009 to begin in 2015 and 2017.

In 2015, two council members shall be elected with the highest vote-getter receiving a four-year term and the second-highest a two-year term.

In 2017 and biennially thereafter, two members shall be elected with the highest vote-getter receiving a four-year term and the second-highest a two-year term.

Does not affect the term of office for the person elected in 2013 to a four-year term.

Effective upon becoming law, ratified July 3, 2014.
